Back at school!

Well, look who is at back at school today! How exciting to be able to return to the classroom after 3 long months of being in extended lockdown? Here is McKayla enjoying her morning tea, enjoying a belated birthday treat with her sister McKenna and waiting for the bell to go home with some Team 2 friends!

Welcome back to Term 4!

Faakalofa lahi atu! We have been busy learning about Niuean Language week. We listened to a story about the Spotted Butterfly in Niuean. It's so lovely to see you on our Google Meets again after the school holidays in lockdown... Keep up with your online learning at home from Mrs Carter.

McKayla has joined in some of our Team 2 Assemblies online during lockdown and remembers to use GM4GM!

Double whammy!

McKayla received this weeks Duffy Award for working independently on her iPad in Reading. She also got "Player of the Day" for filling in for the Year 2 Angels at Netball last Thursday night. Kapai mahi! Well done for being a team player and such a great sport from Mrs Carter.

McKayla enjoyed playing the Ball and Spoon race with her friends in Rm 24 for Kiwisport in Term 3!

Copy Me Game!

McKayla was able to quickly create this small structure using LEGO blocks to copy the same colours and pattern in this fun and challenging game using thinking skills. Well done from Mrs Carter.

My trip to Stardome!

McKayla enjoyed travelling by bus to Cornwall Park in Greenlane to visit the observatory. She learnt about the earth, moon and sun and joined in the interactive games. She also had fun at the playground with her friends. What did you like best?

Duffy award winner!

McKayla was given a Duffy award at assembly for writing a great story about her Easter holiday with her family. Well done from Mrs Carter.

Water safety in Term 1.

McKayla has enjoyed learning how to be safe in the water at the Glen Innes pools. She is learning how to float on her front and back like a starfish! She also likes catching the balls and toys from under the water.

Making paper snakes!

Today I had fun folding two pieces of coloured paper and then glued them together to create this pretend snake. I learnt about over and under and repeating the pattern.
